Vacation Quotes of the Month

"The magic is as wide as a smile and as narrow as a wink, loud as laughter and quiet as a tear, tall as a tale and deep as emotion. So strong, it can lift the spirit. So gentle, it can touch the heart. It is the magic that begins the happily ever after."

This months Travel Tips.

When you go to Alaska, do not miss going to see Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau. And consider a cruise that includes Glacier Bay or Hubbard Glacier; they’re beautiful ! Helen R, Dallas, TX

Remember to call Vivian for tips on tours and transfers to the ship. We saved a lot of money on our Western Caribbean cruise. Jackie M, Greensboro, NC

The best way to see the islands of Hawaii is by cruise ship, for real. No flying from port to port. And why miss seeing other islands, after you go all the way to Hawaii ! Henry K, Lynchburg, VA

If you have the time for a 2 week cruise, and doing the Panama Canal, remember to look at the ports for the cruise you choose, and consider including Mexican Riviera ports, so you can get both cruises in as one. Kelly R, New York, NY

I take almost everything but the kitchen sink on my cruises, because I like to feel the comforts of being at home, when I need something. It’s turn out beneficial for me, to remember such items. Example: Rubber bands, safety pins, cotton, baggies, umbrella, binoculars (and others) … And Vivian‘s laundry bag. Nancy S, Lynchburg, VA

Vivian asked customers, Share stories to help remind cruisers to buy their Carnival Early Saver rate from an agent you can trust versus the internet !

Click Title to see "current" Carnival Early Saver Rates. Remember, buy from a travel specialist, not from the internet.

Vivian asked her own cruisers, What had they heard, that could help cruisers be more aware, that they'll want to purchase their Carnival Early Saver Promotion cruise, though an agent you can trust versus through the internet ?

I had so many responses to this question. 90% of the responses, came from the Lynchburg area. I chose only 10 to share.

We always choose to buy our cruises from Vivian, so that we know all the penalties, if we were forced to cancel our cruise before final payment. From viewing comments online, many cruisers are apparently not aware of all the rules that come with buying a Carnival Early Saver rate. Angela M, Lynchburg, VA

Friend from work, whom I suggested to call Vivian, didn’t take my suggestion. He soon discovered, they had bought a Carnival Early Saver rate, and could not just get a refund on their deposit. Kendall N, Madison Heights, VA

I tell my friends, over and over, don’t buy from the internet, if you ever decide to go on a cruise, call Vivian. A co-worker told me, her husband just bought from Carnival direct. I, myself, had just bought a Carnival Early Saver cruise from Vivian, so I purposely asked, if they too, had booked early enough, to get in on this savings ? She had no idea what I was talking of, so her husband called Carnival. Yes, they had, but just now learning of it’s rules, and not so happy they opted not to “hear” my advice. I so badly wanted to say, I told you so, but their anguish gave me hurt for them ! Vivian, I’m sure many of your customers tell their friends and family, to call you … And like you always say, it’s not till they have a problem, do they think they need someone. But like buying Trip Cancellation Insurance, why not do yourself a favor, and protect yourself upfront ! Alita G, Lynchburg, VA

We had already purchased our cruise with Vivian, when friends we invited (to call Vivian) to join us, didn‘t tell us, but bought our same cruise, on the internet. They had not confirmed with work, that they could have this time off, and was unaware that their deposit was non-refundable. Joseph K, Lovingston, VA

My co-workers know we buy our cruises from Vivian. So I was shocked to learn, when one of them told me they had just bought a cruise from the Internet. I was later shocked to learn, they got burnt on a Carnival Early Saver rate. It is stressful, for me, just to hear it. Lawrence T, Monroe, VA

I tell my friends all the time, to call Vivian to buy their cruise. I have one friend, who believes, no matter what I tell him, that he can get a better rate online. I keep telling him, one of these days, this concept is going to catch up with you. Sure enough, he bought a Carnival Early Saver rate, to quickly learn, he didn’t know the rules he needed to know, before making that purchase ! Sad thing is, he bought from Orbitz, when he could have gotten the same rate from Cruises Inc, since Vivian reminded me, they are a part of the company who Orbitz (and others) buy from. Jennifer K, Hurt, VA

A friend from work, told me they bought a Carnival cruise direct from Carnival’s website, but not till, they discovered they had a problem. They didn’t know, that you could not book your cruise with your nickname. Joseph R, Appomattox, VA

Some friends invited our son to join their family on a cruise. I was under the impression the wife was taking my suggestion, and purchasing this cruise from Vivian. Soon discovered, she felt she could just do this all by herself, by buying direct from Carnival‘s website. I did not know the wife was buying a Carnival Early Saver rate, nor that the wife was unaware of the rules, nor did she opt to buy any Trip Cancellation Insurance. Within a week, due to medical issues, we needed to cancel our son. It was then, we made all these discoveries. And even had she chosen to purchase Carnival’s insurance, it did not cover pre-existing medical, as Cruises Inc’s Trip Cancellation insurance would have, had it been purchased up front. Douglas L, Goode, VA

Though I understand Carnival Early Saver rates have rules that other cruise purchases might not, why would anyone take a chance in buying their cruise without an agent, with all the horror stories you hear. Cindy H, Amherst, VA.

I wish that the Internet co’s had to “tell” where they buy their cruises from (when they do not buy direct from the cruise line) ! This way, people might choose to seek out that agency, and discover, they can buy direct. It’s sad to hear all the horror stories, especially from small town cities, who just don’t seem to realize, the internet is not the way to go when buying a cruise ! Mike L, Altavista, VA

Thank you, for continuing to help your friends and family, and suggesting they also turn, to an agency they can trust for their travel needs.
I too, am sad, just listening to these stories.
More interesting, to me, is that the majority of responses I received on this topic, came from my cruisers of the Lynchburg area.
About all any of us can continue to do, is to continue to remind friends and family to turn to an agency for travel !

Vivian asked past participants, Why should others choose to join Royal Caribbeans Webinar on February 28 ?

Vivian asked past participants, who attended the last destination seminar with Anthony Meloro, Why should others consider taking this Webinar (from the comfort of your home or office) with Royal Caribbean, to learn more about Baltimore or Cape Liberty, NJ ?

I appreciated having the opportunity, making me aware, these cruises were there, to include, being able to learn of this info, right from my home computer. Sally N, Richmond, VA

I had only looked for cruises from Norfolk, in the past, which are few and far between. Nice to know there are cruises, all year, from Baltimore. Samantha G, Norfolk, VA

I just enjoyed “hearing” about the available cruises, close to home. And the suggestion on taking the train, makes a port like NJ, not so far away after all ! Lida F, Lynchburg, VA

I just wanted to hear more about the cruises from NJ. Cause we always prefer to take cruises from NY or NJ. Antonio S, New York, NY.

Having a webinar, such as this one with Anthony Meloro of Royal Caribbean, gives others the opportunity to learn more about the available cruises. And it also shows, how Royal Caribbean is here, in helping to support cruisers, in giving them this type of needed insight. Vivian M Webb, Cruises Inc.

Come join us for Anthony Meloro's next "Close to home, East Coast" destination seminar, February 28 at 7pm. Please email for instructions for joining. vwebb@cruisesinc.com (please put your name in subject line, along with name of webinar. See You "virtually" there).

It's all here – on one amazing vacation.

Vivian asked her customers, Why Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas ?

It’s a great size ship. Not over large, and of course, not small. Not too elaborate, like some of RCI’s new ships. Easy to get around. George F, Orlando, Fl

This ship had all the needed amenities. Their children’s program was very good; My kids had fun. Lillian F, Orlando, Fl

My experience on the Vision was a 14N cruise across the Atlantic, from Belgium to Boston, several years back. We had a great time. I loved going to the Solarium area each morning, quietly having my coffee, and putting some thoughts (usually work) on paper, as my friends slept in. We had 3 in our room … with the 3rd being on the sofa (me), which was so much better, at my age, than being on a bunk. I also enjoyed my 4 days at Sea … quiet time … get one’s thoughts together. As always, I loved the shows, the meals, and more importantly, the ports of calls offered (Amsterdam, Paris, Scotland (we saw the Tatoo), Ireland, and others). Vivian M Webb, MCC, Lynchburg, VA

Vivian asked her customers, Why Panama Canal ?

Click title to learn more about the Panama Canal.

Vivian asked her customers, Why Panama Canal ?

The second time we took the Panama Canal cruise, we took our kids, to give them an opportunity for a little history, while on vacation. It’s important for us to give our kids new experiences. Matthew O., Little Rock, AR

What a great experience in viewing the locks from the ship. I know this is a cruise we will choose to do again. I'm so glad we took Vivian's advice, and choose a balcony cabin. Sally K, Los Angeles, CA

Friends invited us to join them, so we weren’t really choosing to go because of our desire to see the Panama Canal. I’m so glad our friends invited us. It’s an experience never to be forgotten. Jack L, Orlando, Fl

I wondered how hot it would be, being outside, going through the canal. But that morning was wonderful. Hope to do this cruise again some day. Anita F, Bolder, Co.

We weren’t able to do a 14 or 15 night and go from East Coast to West Coat (or vice-versa). Vivian expressed that the East Coast side of the Panama Canal was the best part to see and we would be pleased with only a 10 night cruise. We were very pleased. Angela R, Lynchburg, VA

Vivian suggested looking at the ports of call, when deciding which Panama Canal cruise we wanted. Choosing, based on this suggestion, gave us the opportunity to choose a cruise that gave us places we had never been before. Great cruise. Kevin T, Lynchburg, VA

I've probably been 5 times on a Panama Canal cruise. I've been with Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and with cruise lines that no longer exist. I've been all the way through the canal, from West Coast to East Coast, and I've done cruises that only included a partial. Doing just a partial is fine, with the East side offering the better viewing locks, and because the cruise line offer tours, that can take you on a boat to go over to the West side. One can either choose the lowest price cruise, or dig deeper, and choose a cruise, giving you ports you've been to. I think I enjoy the cruise more, when it includes a stop in Costa Rica and in Panama. It's a great opportunity to see part of our history, with taking a Panama Canal cruise. Vivian M Webb, MCC, Lynchburg, VA

Vivian's customers reply ... Why I love a Carnival cruise

Every time we cruise Carnival, the food and service is great. We usually choose the ship based on itinerary. Amanda C, Hollywood, CA

They are the “fun ships” and that’s our experience … Fun ! Mark F, Dallas, TX

The dining room staff is always so pleasant and adds fun to our dinner table. I love it when they have the dancing in the dining room, especially the ones that include the customers. Marie W., Daytona Beach, FL.

I love watching everyone else get involved in the activities, and me only watching, and still have loads of fun. Fred S., Charlotte, NC

Though I’ve cruised on several cruise lines, I return to Carnival when we take the kids. My kids love the excitement and fun. Samantha G., Colorado Springs, CO

Many activities are offered from me to choose from. I’m not an outdoors type person, but I still love to go watch the activities. Olivia F, Augusta, GA.

I love the water slides and all the fun we have, each day, pool side. We enjoy having the bands playing. Gary N, Boloxi, MI.

I love there’s a ship close to home. Norfolk, Baltimore, and even New York (Just a train ride away). Kashandra L, Washington DC.

My kids love the children’s program, and can’t wait to go each day, to include, the new friends they make. They continue to keep up with their new friends, upon returning home. Some of the parents and kids have even come join us on other cruises. Vivian handles all the cruises. Hannah L, Denver, Co.

My first cruise was a Carnival and I’ve never chosen to go on any other line, cause we loved it, and keep loving it, with every cruise Vivian books for us. Sarah M, New York, NY.

I've been on 20+ cruises with Carnival. Not all cruises are alike, however, overall, I do enjoy the service and the food, and all the fun it brings. The dining staff seems to really want to get to know you. I love it, when I say to them, I wish I had ordered da-da-da, and they have already brought one out, because they knew I would want it. I'm a true soup person when I'm on a cruise, and I seem to enjoy theirs. They also have that new chocolate "signature" desert, which truly is good ! And they remember that I want coffee and water with my meal. Your Cruise Specialist, Vivian M. Webb

If there’s not time for travel … Why do I bother working ? Written by Hannah L, Denver, Co.

Valuable "Vacation tip(s)" for the month ... Sent in by Cruises Inc customers.

Don’t ever fly from East coast to West Coast without going in at least one day early. One reason, you might miss the ship and second reason, to be more rested. Alfred K, Newport News, VA.

I love the Cruise Express bus to get to Ft Lauderdale or Miami. I would rather not drive, and why pay for the parking. Samantha L, Orlando, FL

If you take a Hawaii cruise, be sure to fly into Honolulu at least 2 days prior, so you can take a tour to the Polynesian Culture Center (a must). Samantha G., Colorado Springs, CO

I love taking the train from Lynchburg to Baltimore, to Cape Liberty (NJ), or to New York. Keith L, Lynchburg, VA

When I’m looking for a hotel in my embarkation port, I usually look for a Marriotte. I’ve never had to worry that it was not a nice hotel. Mark F, Dallas, TX

I asked my clients ... What do you love about a cruise vacation and/or a land tour/all-inclusive ?

Why I love cruise vacations ...

Apparently I think cruising is the best vacation ... I've been on 113 cruises. Vivian M. Webb, MCC

It is the only vacation that I can truly escape from the “real world”, helping to get back a little sanity ! Samantha G., Colorado Springs, CO

I love that you pay one price and everything I need is included. And that I know the price and pay for it before I leave. Amanda C, Hollywood, CA

It’s all about no phones ! I don’t take my cell phone nor my computer. Mark F, Dallas, TX

I love all the food options on the menu, and not having to pay for each thing you order. And ordering more than you want, so you can pass it around for all to enjoy. When you have teenage boys, this is a plus for us ! And for my younger kids, if they don’t like it, I have no problem with them leaving it on the plate. Marie W., Daytona Beach, FL.

I love all the music and the dancing opportunities. Fred S., Charlotte, NC

I still love the “set dining time” on a cruise. 1st, I don’t have to decide where the group will dine tonight, like on land. And, I don’t have to remind my group to show up for dinner. If they don’t want to show, that’s their option. Jack M, Philadelphia, PA.

I love the option of doing a few things my wife likes to do, like shopping onboard together, then she turns around and does things I like to do, like gambling in the casino. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy things we each like, together. Jeff N., Atlanta, GA.

I like having a daily schedule and not having to figure out what I wish I might want to do. And then having the option to do all or none. Marion K, Biloxi, MS

It’s a great opportunity for my husband and I to get away for some alone time. And to meet new friendly people, every where we turn. Harriett M, Boston, MA

For me and my family, it’s the only vacation I will choose. Everyone comes home happy. George F, Charlotte, NC.

Land Tour Packages/All-Inclusive

I have not taken a total true land package before. I have visited several All-Inclusive resorts, to get to know these resorts, when I was in port on my cruise. I did take a guided tour in Greece once, which I loved, but it also included a cruise ! There are tour operators out there, that will offer cruise & land tour package combos ! These are nice; Best of both words.

Sometimes I like to go to one place, but not often, so we choose All-Inclusives as a change. Samantha L, Orlando, FL

When you choose a Tour Operators like Globus or Trafalga or Tauck Tours, you experience, first hand, their knowledge and their love, for the destination you are taking on their tour. Olivia F, Augusta, GA.

I prefer guided tours, versus going off into the foreign countries on my own. Gary N, Boloxi, MI.

I love All-Inclusive resorts, because it’s all included ! Kashandra L, Washington DC.

Which vacation will you take next ?

December Destination of the Month: Alaska

As mentioned, my favorite cruise vacation of all, and destination is, Alaska ! My first time there was in 1977, and my last time there was 2 years ago, and I’m already planning to go again in 2012. Why do I love Alaska ? I love the mountains. I live in Virginia, with mountains all around me. I love the snow on top. I feel, here in VA and in Alaska, it brings me peace and serenity. For me, if you get to see any of the animals in Alaska, this is just a plus feature. I’ve seen the salmon run, eagles, bear, moose, puffins, other Alaska birds, fox, deer, goat, and I’m sure others. I don’t feel Alaska is the same hussle and bussle, like going to the Caribbean. Though it can be cold, such as if, it’s raining, it doesn’t seem to bother me as much, as when it is cold in VA. For the most part, I’m onboard the ship or in a van or train, so if there’s any unpleasant weather, it can’t actually get to me. I love the trains in Alaska, but I love trains anyway ! The glaciers and the caving of the glaciers are fantastic. I love to shop in Alaska too ! I have throw rugs, salmon painted pictures, Russian dolls, Alaska jewelry, firs, and more. I’ve been to fish cooking classes in Alaska and I love to go up on the tram in Juneau and have Dungeness crab in their restaurant, looking over Juneau. I’ve been salmon fishing, and had the salmon mailed home. I’ve gone crabbing in Ketchikan, to include taking a tour on one of the boats from the show “Deadliest Catch”. I’ve been to Iditarod camps and ridden a dog sled. I’ve taken float plane trips as well as helicopter rides and landed on the glacier. I’ve paddled a canoe near a glacier, and seen the big tail of a whale. as close as 100 yards away. As those who are happy to go to the Caribbean every year, I could go to Alaska. If you've yet to go to Alaska ... Don't put this off another year. It's really worth it. Your Cruise Specialist, Vivian M. Webb.

A few of my Customer experiences in Alaska:

I loved going to the Red Dog Saloon in Juneau and the Red Onion in Ketchikan. After shopping, all our friends met there for a meal and drinks. Samantha L, Orlando, FL

My most fun time, was going into the National Park in Denali. So many bears that day. Olivia F, Augusta, GA.

I love all the fishing opportunities in Alaska. Gary N, Boloxi, MI.

Jewelry shopping in Alaska, like in the Caribbean, was the most fun for me. Kashandra L, Washington DC.

I thought I would only go once to Alaska, but like Vivian, I loved it so much, I have been 2 more time. The airfare might be a little higher going to Alaska, but the cruise itself, doesn’t seem to be higher than going to the Caribbean. I keep going back, because I’ve yet to do all that is available, like river rafting. George F, Charlotte, NC.

The picturesque views were everything my friends had told me it would be. Hannah L, Denver, Co.

I loved the trains in Alaska. Believe it or not, the different trails reminded me of the different train tours in Australia. Alfred K, Newport News, VA.

I think it is so great to go up to Alaska to see all the sites, yet not have to live as rugged, as in a tent, to do this … But instead, come home to my ship each night. Sarah M, New York, NY.

Call Today. Getaway in Alaska ! Ships sell out quicker than you think ! It's a popular destination. So many great deals. I found one for May 13, on Holland America for as low as $ 599 pp. I can't turn it down, I'm going. Will be my 12th time there ! Click title for details.

Why choose Adventures By Disney ? Insight for your enjoyment

Click Title for Adventures By Disney Brochure

So far … I, nor any of my personal customers have ventured though Adventures By Disney. I have many clients who love Disney World/Land products, and truly believe, if they want to see other parts of the World, leaning more about Adventures By Disney, might stir ones interests.

(added 12/23/11) An associate of mine, Michelle B of Fla, shared with me today: I have personally done Adventures By Disney Viva Italia and it was fantastic in every way. I then booked clients after my trip and they had the very best things to say. Disney may be but provides first class everything. Another associate, Peggy B of Massachusettes: I have a client booked to do Alaska this summer with her grandson. She took another Grandson on Tauck tours in Rome last summer. Tauck Tours have an excellent reputation. This year she considered both Tauck and Disney for Alaska.

I looked on line for some reviews and found this insight on All Ears Reviews.

* Adventures by Disney lives up to Walt's vision of providing a vacation that the entire family can enjoy together.
* Our adventure was truly an amazing (magical) experience, and a memory that we will treasure always.
* The red carpet is really rolled out !
* The tours went off like clockwork.
* As you would expect from Disney, all the details are taken care of for you. Ex. Bottled water and snacks when you need a little something; Ponchos if it rains.
* All the tours, meals and hotels were excellent
* The guides keep you very busy. There’s so much to see. There is some down time.
* The guides are fantastic. They keep you moving and kept us managed and coordinated.
* Most of the tours and events we did were private events, just for our group. Ex. If we were on a farm, there were no other groups there.
* I did not object to the cost. Though I knew Disney could be higher than many other tour company choices, for my family, I wanted to make sure, we would receive the same type of quality we receive when going to Disney World and with Disney Cruises. I believe Adventures By Disney offered us the most value with all the experiences and attention to detail, that they gave us.
* Disney recommends that you add on a day at the beginning or at the end, so that you have some time to do your own adventure. I too agree.

My recommendation from what I've been reading ... You won't go wrong with choosing an Adventure By Disney.

Why choose a Holland America cruise ? What Cruises Inc customers are saying:

I love the décor; The art onboard the Holland America cruises. We take at least one day of each of our cruises, to walk around the ship and try to see all there is. Samantha G., Colorado Springs, CO

High Tea time is the most relaxing for me and an opportunity for us to meet and visit with new travelers. Amanda C, Hollywood, CA

Though we have taken our grandchildren on Holland America, we appreciate that many of the guest are an older crowd of our same age and seem to be adverse travelers like ourselves. And they too, seem to turn in early, leaving the ship basically quiet for our sleeping needs. Mark F, Dallas, TX

When I think of my Holland America cruises, I think of my favorite dishes: Bolognese Spaghetti, salad bar, bread pudding, and ice cream at lunch. Some of these are also offered up till 11:30pm in the café. Marie W., Daytona Beach, FL.

We appreciate that Holland America is traditional enough to require dressing up on formal nights, not like other cruise lines who allow shorts. Fred S., Charlotte, NC

Years past, the service in the dining room was totally “white glove” service, like country club style. Holland America today, continues their great service, but it’s nice the staff can intermingle more and it not be as rigid for them now. Jack M, Philadelphia, PA.

My reason for choosing Holland America is it’s value pricing with their exotic destinations. We prefer longer that the 7-14 night traditional cruises and other than the Caribbean. Jeff N., Atlanta, GA.

I enjoy some of the game shows they offer, that’s usually available after dinner and before the nightly entertainment. These can be very entertaining, along with the anticipation of the added excitement these games can bring. Marion K, Biloxi, MS

I travel solo. I feel comfortable on a Holland America cruise. I meet so many nice travelers, bringing lasting memories, on each of my cruises. Harriett M, Boston, MA

10 Things to know about a DRA Dude Ranch

When I first entered into the travel industry, after recieving a "travel agent" certificate, 21+ years ago, I first went to work as an "outside travel agent" for a local agency, here in LYH (My time here was short lived, and I soon discovered I wanted to be a cruise only specialist, and discovered Cruises Inc). Anyway, while there, my first customer, who is still one of my "Top" cruise clients today (Linwood A, Lynchburg, VA), called me for a Dude Ranch. Just seeing this article, brought back memories.

Five-Week Bow-to-Stern Revitalization on Royal Caribbean Ship - Splendour of the Seas

Also bringing, 124 New Balcony Staterooms

Royal Caribbean International will mark another industry first with the introduction of iPad mobile digital devices in every stateroom onboard the newly revitalized Splendour of the Seas. The hottest tablet on the market empowers guests with an additional medium by which to receive, retrieve and use information on their cruise vacation. With a touch of the screen, guests will be able to access the daily Cruise Compass of events and activities; personal daily itineraries, including shore excursions; monitor their onboard account; order room service; view restaurant menus; access the internet; and watch movies. The iPads will be available beginning mid-February 2012 on Splendour of the Seas before being extended to all Vision-class ships when each undergoes revitalization in the following two years.

"Based on consumer research, Royal Caribbean is adding the iPads to greatly enhance guest communication, interactivity and to continue to offer industry leading technology that helps enhance the guest experience," said Lisa Bauer, senior vice president, Hotel Operations, Royal Caribbean International. "This is just one of the many exciting ways that Royal Caribbean continues to provide our guests with the ultimate cruise experience."

The iPads, which will feature English and Portuguese when they debut on Splendour of the Seas, will offer guests the opportunity to access all of their information not only from the comfort of their staterooms, but through the pervasive WIFI also being installed throughout the ship, which will enable guests to enjoy the iPads wherever they go onboard.

In addition to the iPads, Splendour of the Seas, which emerges from dry dock on Nov. 25, 2011, also will have an array of new stateroom amenities such as flat screen televisions, new bathrooms, and completely remodeled interiors, including luxurious new linens and furniture, as well as an additional 124 balconies. The ship also will be outfitted with the award-winning digital wayfinding technology that can be found on the line's acclaimed Oasis-class ships.

The newly revitalized Splendour also will debut new dining options including the Asian Izumi restaurant; the line's signature steakhouse, Chops Grille; the Boardwalk Dog House hotdog counter; the Park Café deli-style restaurant; and the exclusive Chef's Table dining experience. Royal Caribbean also will introduce a new à la carte menu in the Viking Crown Lounge that will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy bite sized portions of their favorite classics. Additional Royal Caribbean signature innovations debuting on the ship will be the Royal Babies and Tots Nursery, a Diamond lounge, a Concierge Lounge, a Britto Gallery featuring works from Brazilian pop-artist Romero Britto, the new R-Bar as well as a reinvented Centrum experience.

Upon completion of the refurbishments, Splendour of the Seas will sail a trans-Atlantic voyage on November 25 from Lisbon, Portugal to her seasonal homeport of Sao Paulo (Santos), Brazil. From there, she will offer a variety of South American itineraries that take advantage of the summer season in Brazil.

Royal Caribbean International is a global cruise brand with 22 innovative ships, calling on more than 270 destinations in 72 countries across six continents. The line also offers unique cruise tour land packages in Alaska, Canada, Dubai, Europe, and Australia and New Zealand.

Royal Caribbean provides a world-class vacation experience with a wide range of signature onboard amenities, entertainment, and award-winning family programming. The cruise line has a 40-year history of giving guests the Royal Advantage - the most innovative cruise ships, exciting itineraries to popular destinations, and world-renowned friendly and engaging Gold Anchor Service.

Royal Caribbean has been voted "Best Cruise Line Overall" for eight consecutive years in the Travel Weekly Readers' Choice Awards.

WOW, all this sounds exciting and I know I can't wait to sail on her again. Please share your thought on all these new amenities aboard the Splendour.

MSC Cruises - Are they for you ?

Out of my 110+ cruises, I personally have not had time to yet try out a MSC Cruise.
However, had one of my Top Clients call (Jennifer S of Randolph, VA), after seeing a great sales offer, and wanted to try it.

She just returned. I asked questions.

How was the cruise ? Nice, fine, good, relaxing.

How was the food ? Probably not the quality of Carnival, but fine. They had steak, chicken, Italian, at ever meal. A variety. Buffets good.

How as the service ? Good. Room service good, however, room service menu limited, to include no fruit for breakfast. However, room service was prompt and friendly.

How was the entertainment ? She said, this is where she felt they lacked. Mostly singing, dancing, and opra. She said there was a large group onboard … A group of followers to a band. She said, they have private music for the group, and maybe this is why, there wasn’t more entertainment on their cruise. Their shows were not upbeat like on Carnival.

How was the ship (MsC Poesia) ? Very Nice, pretty, clean. Italian décor. Sort of dark; greys and blacks.

Would you do a cruise with MSC again ? Yes.

Would it have to be great pricing like this time, or are you willing to pay the same price you pay on other cruises ? No on paying same as other cruises; It would have to be same type low pricing as this one.

Do I need to jump up and run out and start selling them, or cruise on them first ? She said, cruise them first.

Any last words ? One must like Italian to enjoy this cruise.

Thank you Jennifer S, Randolph, VA

WOW, is this another “travel pyramid” - Rovia/Dream Trip Vacations ?

I was at a jewelry show, this weekend, in Gatlinburg, TN.
There was a travel booth.

Didn‘t listen to their full presentation, however, sounded like, you pay a membership of $ 199.00, then $ 54.99 per month. And of course, they promise, they have the best price vacations. Made me think of YTB. Also said, refer 4 friends and something is free (?).

I was amazed at the consumers listening to the presentation, but I really didn’t see anyone buy anything. It’s so sad to watch, people who could get pulled into a possible scheme. It's the sole reason I got into this business (and joined forces with the "true" largest distributor of cruises, for Best Price Guarantee) … To help educate and protect the consumer !

Please note, Best Prices, does not mean, better prices. It means, they can get the same rate as you calling the cruise line or tour operators yourself.
Best Price Guarantee, means, that you can’t call another agency (nor even the cruise line), and get a better price. Rovia's flyer, nor the presentation, said this. Unfortunately, the consumer is unaware of the difference in verbiage.

I decided to share this company with my associates this morning, and one of them shared back, a “complaint link“ of this company, which is exactly what I was thinking.
Decided to share with you. Click title for insight.
