Trip Cancellation Insurance Vacation “Tip”. Medication changes - pre-existing ! Cruise Line insurance - NO pre-existing coverage ! Makes a difference “where” you buy your cruise/coverage !

Posting a day earlier this week .... My meds changed again today, so thought I would share, while I had it on my mind !
----------------------

Age has no rule on health !  You can be fine one day, and the next day your whole life can change, no matter your age !

We buy car insurance … house insurance health insurance … Truly consider Trip Cancellation Insurance for your vacations !  Unless … You’re ok with being out of your money !

Trip Cancellation Insurance is “more” than just for cancellation.  Can cover sickness … accident … emergency evacuation.  So when NOT buying this insurance, it can mean more than just loss of your vacation money !  There can be lots more bill than you had ever though could take place.

But that’s what Trip Cancellation Insurance is for … The unknown !  That’s why you buy the other insurances in your life, right ?  So if you can’t predict what could happen with your home, with your car, how can you determine your vacation ?

It’s not about being pessimistic, it’s about being responsible … Thinking ahead … Protecting, not only your vacation and your vacation money, but possible needs.

I buy Trip Cancellation Insurance for each of my vacation getaways !  It’s true, I didn’t start till 15 years ago at age 41.  Fortunately, it was NOT from a lesson learned from not having it !  As soon as my accident and 2 blood clots, I learned that I was a “pre-existing” condition for life … Which is when I decided to begin buying.

I’m on blood thinner.  Though for years, my meds stayed right on target without a lot of wavering, that’s not always the case.  For example, I had a colonoscopy in February … My meds have basically been changed almost every week since January.  If I wasn’t a “pre-existing” condition before, I most definitely have been the last 4 months !  Medication changes make you pre-existing !

What does this mean in terms of buying Trip Cancellation Insurance ?  Not only do I need to buy an insurance that covers “pre-existing” conditions, I need to do this every time I buy a vacation !  One can never predict when the doctor might change your meds … Or when your condition might change, and new meds are needed !

Remember, not all Trip Cancellation Insurances are alike !  Most of the ones at the cruise lines do NOT cover pre-existing conditions.  So folks who buy their cruise directly at the cruise line or from (smaller) agencies who do not offer their own insurance, you’re not covered for pre-existing !

Folks who buy insurances that say “pre-existing” in last 60 days … BEWARE !  This is NOT a waiver of pre-existing condition policy !  You’re playing Russian Roulette here !  What this means … You can NOT have any medication changes or change in your condition, 60 days prior to paying final payment.  You either have to count out the days, and not pay that final payment (remember, if you are LATE in paying, the cruise line will “auto” cancel your cruise … No longer are there exceptions) … Or, your best bet, “pay off that cruise” before your doctor visit !

Sure, some of the cruise lines cover a cancel for any reason.  But that’s for 75-90% of your money towards a future cruise (depends on policy you buy & cruise line).  That’s not your money back !

I bet you never thought you should consider “where you buy your cruise” in reference to Trip Cancellation Insurance ?  Look to the LARGE agencies who have a policy made just for their customers !

Wake up consumers … There is so much about this industry that you don’t know !
Don’t assume cruise line res agents have the answers !
Don’t assume every agency has the insurance you need !

Some folks think if they decide their own vacation from looking on the net, that they don’t need an agent.  WRONG.  Agencies have NEVER been paid by cruise lines or land tour operators to help you decide which vacation you want.  That’s always been the volunteer part from the agency (some charge fees now).  The agent is paid for BOOKING YOU … Stand behind your vacation …. Monitor it !  Giving you RIGHT answers once you're booked !

This is what the cruise lines pay commission to agencies for !  So when “you book on your own”, you're taking away from yourself, the FREE part that the cruise lines/tour operators are GIVING TO YOU !  An agent !  And if you're booking at the cruise line ... The proper Trip Cancellation Insurance you need !!

Why throw the FREEBIE away !  Please don't think you're doing yourself a justice or you know more about this industry than an agent !  If you did, the cruise line would pay YOU commission for handling your own booking !  Right ?  Agree ?

And now from this article, you’ve learned … The cruise lines can’t provide for you, the possible Trip Cancellation Insurance you may need !  And … Now you know which agencies might have  "pre-existing" coverage !  LARGE AGENCIES in case you missed that !

I don’t preach all the time or write articles just for the fun of it.  DESPARATELY TRYING TO HELP EDUCATION THE CONSUMER !  Another FREEBIE !
