WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BEST OR MEMORABLE CRUISE EXPERIENCE & WHY ?
I think my most memorable cruise experiences have been because of WHO I traveled with ! I think sometimes, this is what makes or breaks the cruise ! Here's a list the cruises I remember, due to the people I was with or MET !
* Holland America - Maasdam - Out of Norfolk to the Caribbean
* Royal Caribbean - Vision of the Seas - From London to the Scandanavia countries !
* Cruise West - From Ketchikan to Alaska
* Cruise West - From Portland to the Columbia/Snake rivers
* Delta Queen Steamboat - Mississippi River cruise
* Uniworld - From Paris - On the Seine River
* Celebrity - Summit - Alaska land tour began in Fairbanks
* Princess - Sapphire - From Japan to Alaska
* Costa Cruise - Romantica - From Ft Lauderdale to the Caribbean
I'll add to the list as I think of other ship names.

WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE CRUISE LINE & WHY ?
Though I love many cruise lines, I would say that Princess Cruises continues to be the lead in stealing my heart ! REMEMBER ... it's the LOVE BOAT !
I love the fact that they literally have 24 hours of food ! This way, I don't have to plan my day around the main meals, I can plan the meals around me. Such as, if I want to sleep till 10am, there's still breakfast till noon. Or if I want to stay in port till 4pm, I can then return and have lunch till 5 or 5:30 ! I also like they they have a light menue beginning around 11:30 or midnight, to get those last minute cookies and milk before turning to bed. What I like most ... If I miss dinner, I can go upstairs to the cafe, and instead of feeling that I missed something in the dining room (except maybe lobster night), I feel that I received more, by skipping the dining room ! Desert ... Though the quality of desert has fallen for many cruise lines, to include Princess, they off a soft type cheese cake for dinner in the dining room, that you can order EVERY NIGHT !
I also seem to enjoy their shows. And I like the closed in relaxing area between the cafe and the pool on lido deck ! I also like that they give you the stickers for your bus tour, as you're coming in the the lounge !
WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE CRUISE LIE AND WHY ?
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE DESTINATION TO CRUISE TO ?
With 101 personal cruise experiences, for me to choose only "one" would be unfair to all the places I've cruised to !
#1 for me is visiting Alaska. I have been 10 times, returning for 2 back to back cruises in 2009. I could visit Alaska every year ! To me, it offers such peace and tranquility ! The WHITE PASS TRAIN in Skagway, to include the motorcoach tour into the Yukon, is my favorite excursion. My 2nd choice tour, is DEADLIEST CATCH tour (like seen on TV), in Ketchikan. Also in Ketchikan, I've taken the CRABBING tour, a cooking tour, the Logging show, and visits to the Totem Village. In Juneau, I've gone whale watching, salmon fishing, made trips to Mendenhall Glacier, Mining tour and gold panning, and I love to go up on the Tram for the ALL YOU CAN EAT - CRAB FEAST ! I've been on the land tours in Denali twice, but my favorite was when I customized the package for a group I took in 2007 ! Besides the large ocean liners, I have also taken a CRUISE WEST cruise, which gets you close to the WILDLIFE ! I hope to do this again some day !
My #2, was the most exciting cruise I had. It was to Egypt, to include a cruise down the Nile. These people literally live like you see on TV. And all the different sites and sculptures you see on TV are there ! When arriving to our river boat, to get onboard, you actually wanted a gang plank ! The staff brought your luggage onboard. While there, I also rode a camel toward the pyramids, something I would probably never try again !! You need lots of cash for Egypt, because very few take CC. Things were inexpensive, such as LARGE bottled water for 50 cents !
My #3, would probably go to a transatlantic cruise, beginning in Amsterdam. We then sailing to Belgium, Paris, Ireland, and Scotland, prior to crossing the Atlantic, and ending in Boston. These destinational ports offered a great variety in cultural experience for all of us sailing ! I bought wooden shoes in Holland, we visited the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and visited a few pubs in Ireland. We were excited to be in Scotland on the day of the TATOO (If you don't know what this is, check it out on the web) ! FABULOUS ! Also, while in Scotland, I met up with friends/customers, whom I met on another cruise, and they took my friends and I around to experience MORE than any other cruiser, on our ship, could have experienced in one day ... Castles, museums, small villages and MORE !
My #4, would be a River Cruise on the Seine River in Paris. This river cruise gave me a change to experience all the different tours, that I had missed, when I only had one day in Paris, on my other cruise. We took a river cruise past the Eiffel Tower, visited many artist ports, along with a stop at Normande !
My #5, would be in Asia. It was a 2 week cruise, from Singapore, going to Thailand, Malaysia, and MORE ! Many temples to visit, to include a snake temple !
My #6, began in Japan and ended in Alaska. This was 19 nights. There were 3 stops in Japan, we went to South Korea, Russia, and then 3 stops in Alaska before ending in Seattle !
My #7, is doing the Mediterranean. I have only been twice, but I have a desire to take a group, to show them the culture of these lands !
My #8, would be Australia/New Zealand. Though just flying there is expensive, this is a must see. It's probably the only foreign lands I've been to, that I didn't acually feel like I was on foreign ground !
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE DESTINATION ? WOULD YOU GO BACK ?
