DID YOU KNOW ? Princess Cruises Expands 2009 Players Championship Tournament After Success of First-Ever Contest

New Tournament Features Eight Sailings with a Total of $100,000 in Cash Prizes and 24 Free Cruises to be Awarded

Last year, 18 lucky casino players took home the ultimate cruise souvenir as winners in the inaugural Princess Players Championship. This year, due to the enthusiastic response to Princess’ first casino tournament, the line has scheduled a new series of special championship cruises throughout 2009, with even more featured sailings and opportunities to win.

“The players who joined us for our first casino tournament made it quite an exciting event, and it was such a big hit that we’re extending our upcoming championship to even more sailings,” said Anthony Kaufman, Princess senior vice president of commercial affairs. “Our sophisticated Las Vegas style casino environment is consistent with the high-quality service found throughout our ships and has attracted some enthusiastic tournament players.”

The 2009 championship series cruises will begin March 22 and run through December on eight different sailings. More than $100,000 in cash prizes plus 24 free cruises in balcony cabins will be awarded to winners during the events. The 2009 Princess Players Championship cruises will each host a slot, blackjack, and Texas Hold'em Poker tournament, with first-place winners taking home a $3,000 prize plus a complimentary cruise for two in a balcony stateroom.
